Stewardship 2025
Our stewardship theme this year is inspired by the author of Hebrews… “let us show gratitude, by which we may offer to God an acceptable worship with reverence and awe.” Expressing gratitude is how we are in a healthy relationship. It makes a circle of sorts, giving and receiving, receiving and giving. Saying thank you, expressing gratitude for a kindness given, forms that connection which allows growth in both human relationships and for our relationship with God.
We encourage you to think about the gifts God has given you, and prayerfully consider the following question as we enter stewardship season.
How am I being called to give generously to the church in 2025 through my time, talent, and treasure?
As we consider this past year, We are grateful for the gift of growing Sunday participation, monthly young family gatherings, an expanded housing assistance program (providing over $9,000 in rental assistance), and the addition of the Rev. Iva Joyce-Miesse as Associate Rector. Looking ahead to 2025, we are excited about how your generous pledge of time, talent and treasure can help Trinity grow in hospitality through the renovation of the children’s wing and expanded staffing which allows us to safely keep our doors open during the week as a place of prayer and peace on Capitol Square.
During the next month, you’ll be hearing a lot more about how we respond “with gratitude, in reverence and awe.” In the meantime, please reserve All Saints Sunday, November 3, for Consecration Sunday. Plan now to attend the two major events that day: Sunday morning worship at 10:30 am (one service that day where we offer our pledges to God) and the celebrative brunch at 9:00am. Between now and then, please join me in cultivating gratitude for the one from whom all blessings flow.
During services in the weeks before Consecration Sunday (November 3), several parishioners will speak about what draws them to Trinity and the hope they find through membership. The Stewardship Committee and Treasurer will present at Rise & Shine on October 27: a time to explore possibilities, share information, and answer questions.
By making a pledge to Trinity Church, you can set up recurring, automatic payments to ensure that your pledge is made in a timely manner. If you have any questions about setting up an online pledge, contact the Parish Administrator, Kathryn Watson
Your gifts ensure that the ministries, church upkeep, and programs can continue as we grow into a future that's bigger than the past.
